Chart notes
PRONGHORN broke outward and a bit awkwardly, established a forward position in the three path on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside, turned up the pressure on the leader in the two path on the far turn, took the lead coming to the five-sixteenths pole, moved to the three path later on that bend, shook clear while asked for her best into upper stretch, drifted out under a right-handed crop while extending the advantage coming to the furlong marker and proved much the best under steady urging. LOW COUNTRY MAGIC was hustled from the gate, saved ground while well placed just off the pace, was asked on the far turn, pursued the winner under a drive in the stretch and narrowly earned the place. CONCURRENTLY was forced out at the start, angled in early, went around the first turn in the three then two path, settled off the pace, was urged along while going from the two path to the four path on the far turn, turned into upper stretch in the five path, chased outside in the drive and just missed the place while clear for the show. ULTIMATE AUTHORITY came outward at the start then bobbled slightly, became rank under restraint and steadied behind horses in the two to three path on the opening bend, moved to the outside entering the backstretch then tracked the pace, chased in the three path for most of the far turn then moved to the four path and weakened. PURLOIN was hustled from the gate, steadied while squeezed back along the rail on the first turn, settled near the back while saving ground, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, shifted from the inside to the three path late on the far turn and failed to threaten while gaining ground late. BALLERINA D'ORO was slow into stride while off the heels of ULTIMATE AUTHORITY in the first few strides departing the gate, settled in the two path, was urged along on the far turn and failed to rally. MIDTOWN LIGHTS broke out tad then was corrected with a pull of the left-rein and hustled to the front, dropped from the two path to the inside late on the opening bend, showed the way down the backstretch, was asked under threat while along the rail on the far turn, lost the advantage to the winner approaching the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back into upper stretch and tired.
