Chart notes
JOYOUS SONG took over early then went clear after about a furlong, dictated the pace off the inside, moved away past the five sixteenths, responded to strong handling through the lane and held firm. SASSAFRASSNESS , four deep near the half, gave hard chase three wide as the closest pursuer past the quarter pole, kept on gamely and held down the place. BLO BY THE FIELD was rated back from between rivals soon after the break, angled out and was under a ride leaving the far turn, circled five wide into the stretch and closed steadily. PERIDOT PENDANT edged up early, chased to the inside of three rivals past the half, remained inside into the lane and faded. SUSAN'S MULE , three wide between runners near the half mile marker, was outpaced leaving the three eighths then failed to generate a stretch run. SHUDABEENACOWGIRL , two wide between runners heading towards the half mile pole, failed to keep up around the turn then shifted well wide in the drive.
