Chart notes
NASH POTATOES brushed with ISLAND TOWN at the start, was well placed while coaxed along just off the pace, chased while moving from the rail to the three path on the turn, gained coming to the the quarter-pole, made a bid outside of the leading duo in upper stretch, took the lead inside the three-sixteenths pole, shook clear under a left-handed crop into the final furlong, was given one final pop of the crop near the sixteenth-pole then drifted in and held under a hand-ride late. TARTABULL bumped with UNAUTHORIZED at the start, was urged along off the pace, raced inside to the two path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the four path and finished with good energy to garner the place. ISLAND TOWN brushed with NASH POTATOES at the start, went to the front, set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied along the rail on the turn, dueled with UNAUTHORIZED into upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but just held the show. UNAUTHORIZED bumped with TARTABULL at the start, pressed the pace on the outside, drew even with the leader in the two path on the turn, dueled into upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and tired then just missed the show. METATRON was urged along while moved in behind foes, shifted to the outside before the nine-sixteenths pole, dropped from the five path to the three path on the turn and failed to threaten. ROCHESTER chased the pace on the outside, dropped back in the four then five path on the turn, retreated in the six path into the stretch and faltered then was eased but walked off.
