Chart notes
GOLDEN SIREN went to the front, was well rated while setting the pace on the inside, responded well when asked at the quarter-pole, came under a left-handed crop into upper stretch, drew off under a drive into the final furlong, remained under a drive into the final sixteenth then was eased up while much the best. DOVES AND HAWKS raced under restraint while between horses on the opening straightaway, jostled with BELISA nearing the first turn, raced in the three path on that bend, settled off the pace with cover, dropped back while a bit green leaving the backstretch, was roused while moving from the two path to the four path on the far turn, was a bit green again into upper stretch, leveled out inside the three-sixteenths pole and improved to get the place. BELMONT STREET was off a step slow then dropped back early, saved ground on the first turn, lagged well behind under urging, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn, came into the stretch in the six path then moved out to the eight path and also improved while up for the show. DETERMINED SCHOLES (IRE) was taken under a snug hold early, bumped solidly with BELISA nearing the first turn and had her hind-end knocked sideways, saved ground while reserved off the pace, shifted to the two path midway through the final turn, moved out a bit under a drive in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. BELISA was taken under a tight hold between foes early, bumped with rivals on both sides nearing the first turn then steadied, raced in the two path on that bend, settled last but one, was roused while saving ground on the far turn and failed to rally. ENERGY FLOWS brushed the outside of the gate at the start, went around the first turn in the four then three path, settled on the outside but with cover, was asked while removed from cover near the seven-sixteenths pole, tucked in into the far turn, was roused for more in the two then three path on that bend, turned into the stretch under the crop and also failed to rally. HAVE HOPE was fractious in the gate, tracked the pace on the outside in the three path, was asked late on the backstretch, chased in the three path through the final turn and tired. ENCRYPTING broke out then was quickly corrected by the rider, was taken in hand while showing speed between horses, dropped from the two path to the inside on the first turn, was well placed just off the pace, came under urging while along the rail on the far turn, chased into upper stretch and came up empty.
