Chart notes
KERNESS K mid pack pack while covered up a bit in the early going along the inside, between horses far turn, steered out four wide by late in the bend, set down for the drive, closed with good resolve to be up in the final jump. CELTIC PRIDE asked a bit clear after the start, maintained a daylight advantage into and through the turn while setting a solid pace, continued to hold a significant advantage past the furlong marker, failed to contain the winner in the waning strides, clearly second best. DADDY YANKEE off a beat slow to trail early, moved out to be four wide into the turn, asked along through the bend, made a late run to garner the show, no real threat to the top pair. ENLIGHTEN lacked early foot along the inside, continued to save ground into the stretch, in a bit tight while still on the fence inside the furlong marker, improved slightly. DAUFUSKIE ISLAND back off the pace and the inside, chased the runner up through the turn off the inside, faltered in the drive. TWELVE TREASURES a bit keen while firmly in hand in traffic early, three then four wide when clear through the turn, drifted out a bit nearing midstretch then went flat the final furlong.
