Chart notes
CONVICTION was rushed up to contend for the early lead with EZ DAVID then battled through the turn before opening up into the stretch but did drift out nearing the 1/8 pole and held sway for the victory. LITTLE PRINCE rated in the second flight while along the inside then angled four wide into the stretch and was gaining late to get up for place. EZ DAVID broke sharply and cleared the early lead before being pressed by CONVICTION into the turn but dug in and battled into the stretch before fading late and getting caught nearing the wire for place. TOO TALL BLAKE rated in the second flight early just to the outside of LITTLE PRINCE before being ridden along through the turn then tucked in nearing the 1/4 pole and made a mild rally late along the rail. HOT ROD dropped back early and showed no speed then angled five wide into the stretch and showed some run late. BELLA NAPOLI broke outward then settled off the pace, made a four wide bid on the turn but flattened out in the stretch. NAUGHTY WHISPER was void of speed with a rail trip but was never a factor.
