IZE A RUNNER went around the first turn in the two to three path, settled off the pace, was urged along late on the backstretch, traveled around the far turn in the two then three path, was driven into the stretch in the five path, drifted in inside the three-sixteenths pole and was along for the show. VEBLEN came inward at the start, settled while saving ground, was urged along on the final turn and failed to respond. SIR DUKE was hustled from the gate, drifted out early, dropped from the four path to the inside while going to the front on the first turn, showed the way down the backstretch, vied inside under threat on the far turn, lost the advantage to the winner inside the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back into the stretch and tired while able to hold the show. CHILI PALMER came outward just after the start, dropped from the six path to the four path on the first turn, settled on the outside, was urged along in the four path on the far turn and failed to respond. GADGET PLAY was taken under a tight hold while dropping from the five path to the three path on the first turn, was rated off the pace, came under urging around the nine-sixteenths pole, chased in the three then four path on the far turn, drifted inward into upper stretch and faltered.
