Chart notes
CRIMSON LADY showed speed from the gate, came in approaching the first turn and crowded an inner foe entering that bend, set the pace off of the rail into the backstretch, dug in into the lane, was challenged late by TWO BAR and held well in the final yards to prevail. TWO BAR in tight into the first turn, tracked inside, tipped out and closed willingly late, missed for win, bested the rest. ZIPPIN PIPPIN in tight between early, drifted out first turn, tracked four wide backstretch, battled into the stretch, outkicked, good third. LOTSA STEEL settled inside, lacked room far turn, flattened out stretch. FRECKLES FOREVER close up, stalked three wide along the backstretch, weakened in the drive. BRING THE POSSE void early speed, trailed backstretch, no threat. NOW HEAR THIS crowded at the start, floated out into the first turn, came up empty in the drive. THE RIDER OF TWO BAR LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST CRIMSON LADY, CLAIMING INTERFERENCE. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY, THE STEWARDS DETERMINED CRIMSON LADY IMPEDED TWO BAR, AND COST THAT RUNNER THE OPPORTUNITY OF A BETTER PLACING. CRIMSON LADY WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST AND PLACED SECOND.
