Chart notes
OPERATION TORCH set the pace on the inside, opened up a long lead on the backside, responded when roused in the stretch, was kept to the task and held well late while being ridden out. MAGIC HEART raced off the pace inside, chased inside on the turn, rallied in the stretch run and closed the gap late on the winner. TRACKSTER hopped at the break, was off slowly and steadied, raced off the pace, moved up three wide on the backside, advanced on the turn and rallied mildly for third. TAPSTICK raced off the pace inside and closed belatedly outside. SANTAL settled off the pacesetter on the inside, chased inside on the far turn and weakened. CANDY ADDICTION raced four wide early, settled two wide off the pace and did not factor. FREDERICKSBURG raced three wide early, then settled off the pace inside and did not factor.
