Chart notes
THAT'S THE WAY was shut off at the start, trailed early inside, began to close two wide late on the turn, was herded out to the six path by COLOR BEARER in upper stretch, close with a rush under left handed urging and got up in the final strides. RED CHILI PEPPER vied for the lead along the inside through the turn, drifted out to the five path at the top of the stretch and finished second best. JOHN FITZGERALD pressed the pace four then three wide, made the lead at the quarter pole, shook clear in upper stretch then was outfinished in the final strides. COLOR BEARER bore out at the start, raced along the inside through the turn, veered out to the six path in upper stretch, shifted out to the middle of the racetrack late and finished evenly. SWEET LEMON DROP raced a wide trip and had no impact. THEDAYOFTHEGREY away alertly, set the pace in the two path to the quarter pole, kept on into the stretch and weakened late. MATTHEW'S PATRIOT failed to menace. RADIO SILENT chased the early pace three wide and was through after a half.
