Chart notes
QUEENOFTHEBUCKEYE trailed into the stretch, swung wide, closed with a rush under right handed urging through deep stretch, made the lead inside the sixteenth marker and drew clear. DRIVEN FOR SUCCESS was in tight at the start, pressed the pace along the inside into the turn, made the lead nearing the top of the stretch, shook clear before the furlong marker then was no match for the winner while narrowly hanging on for second. ANGEL WINGS never far back, finished with good courage in the six path. DOLCE MARIE vied for the lead four wide into the stretch then faded late. NATIONAL DIAMOND pressed the pace three wide into the turn, gained a narrow lead near the three furlong marker, set the pace to the top of the stretch then came up empty. TALE OF THE LYON drifted out at the start, set the pace two wide into the turn then was used up.
