Chart notes
SIERRA POWER came away in good order, contested the pace to the outside of GOINGSCENTS through the turn, shook clear entering the stretch and held sway. CAMDEN HILLS stalked the pace three deep, was fanned five wide leaving the turn, brushed with PERIPOLI when that one came out near the three-sixteenths pole, came in nearing the sixteenth marker and bumped PERIPOLI forcing that one in, continued on willingly while drifting inward in the final yards. PERIPOLI tracked the dueling leaders along the inside, angled out nearing the quarter pole, offered his bid between rivals, brushed with CAMDEN HILLS with three-sixteenths to run, was straightened away and boxed on, was bumped and forced in near the sixteenth marker and flattened thereafter. GOINGSCENTS rushed up to dispute the pace along the inside, but faltered entering the stretch and gave way. RED ABARRIO saved ground to no avail. The jockey of PERIPOLI lodged an objection against CAMDEN HILLS for alleged interference in the drive. Following the Stewards review CAMDEN HILLS was disqualified from second and placed third.
