Chart notes
MAX S was allowed to settle near the back then moved up from three wide on the turn to engage the leader near the quarter pole then battled down the stretch to prevail. BEAUDREAUX showed the early speed while being pressured before being headed near the quarter pole and fought gamely down the stretch but gave way grudgingly. KINGSCLIFF vied for the early lead from two wide before dropping back to trail to the turn then made a rail bid through the turn, shifted out to three wide near the eighth pole but lacked the late kick and was best of the rest. CAJUN SWAGGER broke outward then moved up to press the pace from two wide to midway through the turn before giving way. VELOCITY STORM vied for the lead from five wide early then dropped back while racing wide throughout and was not a factor.
