HOUSE OF WAR saved ground while reserved off the pace, came under some urging late on the backstretch, was shuffled back behind VALS BRO from the five-sixteenths pole to the quarter-pole, shifted out for room while roused into upper stretch, rallied into the final furlong and closed strongly to get up late and prevail. CALLING MR. MO hit the inside of the gate at the start, showed speed on the outside of foes, rounded the opening bend in the two path, prompted outside on the backstretch, vied in the two to three path on the far turn, took a slim advantage while asked near the quarter-pole, dueled outside of NYSTATEOFMIND into the final sixteenth, bested that foe at that juncture but was caught while able to get the place. NYSTATEOFMIND was hustled from the gate then showed speed, bumped very hard with VALS BRO near the seven-eighths pole, raced inside on the first turn, showed the way inside of the runner-up on the backstretch, was asked while inside to the two path on the far turn, lost the advantage near the quarter-pole, dueled into the final sixteenth and was outfinished while clear for the show. SOLO STRYKER dropped back early, raced in the three path on the first turn, settled outside without cover, was given cover around the nine-sixteenths pole, went around the far turn in the two then three path while roused, turned into upper stretch under a drive and improved for the last spot in the superfecta. AL MOWASHAAH broke in and hit the gate hard, became rank under restraint early, tucked in near the seven-eighths pole then checked off heels, went around the turns in the two to three path, dropped back while remaining on his inside lead in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. OUR WARRIOR dropped back early, rounded the first turn in the two path, settled towards the rear, was urged along passing the half-mile pole, raced inside to the two path on the far turn and was no factor. CUYLLE broke out and brushed the gate, was taken in hand while on the outside early, moved from the five path to the four path early on the first turn, was reserved outside with cover, went around the far turn in the three then four path, spun into the stretch in the five path and came up empty. ZACK THE GREY was taken in hand early, checked along the hedge early on the first turn, saved ground at the rear, moved out late on the second turn, came into the stretch in the three path then shifted further out, drifted in under a left-handed crop around the furlong marker and failed to threaten. VALS BRO broke out at the start, showed speed between horses, became rank nearing the seven-eighths pole then bumped extremely hard with NYSTATEOFMIND and dropped back, raced in the three then two path on that bend, was well placed just off the pace, dropped back while inside on the far turn and capitulated. MR. ROGERS established a forward position early, raced in the four path on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside but with cover, was removed from cover near the half-mile pole, chased in the three then two path on the far turn and faltered.
