SPECIALTY settled on the inside, drew closer between rivals leaving the backstretch, tipped three wide into the lane, lacked room midstretch, shifted out into the clear and kept trying to the wire. SHINING RIVER (GB) stalked in the two path, bid three deep leaving the backstretch, lost touch with the leader on the far turn, chased within range into the last sixteenth and lacked the needed late kick. INTERPLAY got put in tight along the rail and steadied early, trailed inside a rival, had one beat into the far turn, saved ground to the stretch and failed to menace. HELLO KID O KID O pulled the rider along early, settled along the rail in hand, moved to the two path late on the clubhouse turn, moved into range three deep on the backstretch, chased four deep at the five-sixteenths pole and weakened. LADY MARYANN raced up close in the two path, pressed from outside then between rivals on the backstretch, could not match strides with the leader on the far turn and tired down the lane.
