Chart notes
COACH SIGGY dueled along the inside fence, responded when put to an all-out drive at the quarter pole, dug in gamely and fended off RUM N COKE tenaciously. The latter forced the pace, drew even around the far turn, stayed on willingly and missed. YOUTHFUL ENERGY chased the pacesetters while four wide, advanced on the far turn, finished well in the stretch but could not get to the principles. ANNAPOLIS ROAD chased the contested pace along the inside, briefly inched closer on the far turn and managed a three wide bid to collect a minor share. JUST A WIZARD was forwardly placed behind the embattled pacesetters and offered no response when asked. GIMMETHATSUGAR had a wide trip and was outrun. FELICIAS CINCO was outrun while four wide and never menaced. JOHN'S NOTION saved ground and never reached contention. SWIFT WATERS outpaced early, moved out five wide up the backstretch run and was never a factor.
