Chart notes
GRAND HALL settled behind the soft pace early while along the inside, continued to track the leaders while moving out into the two path late backstretch, came three wide for the drive, set down with a brisk right handed crop, reeled the two frontrunners in with less than a furlong remaining and proved best under continued firm handling. STEEL GOLDEN prompted the leader through some leisurely early fractions, engaged that one from the outside late in the final turn, dueled through upper stretch, failed to contain the winner in the final stages, narrowly lasted for the runner up position. SOUPER CHA CHING outrun for six furlongs while racing mostly between horses, was three wide and in some traffic exiting the final bend, shifted out a path bumping with PARK THE DOUBT in upper straight, finished willingly well out in the course to narrowly miss the place. HOSS N BOSS took command soon after the start, set a soft set of fractions in showing the way along the inside, responded when the runner up challenged late in the final bend, dueled with that one through upper stretch and gave ground grudgingly. MISTER LANDRY raced well off the pace along the inside, continued to save ground, improved slightly by cutting the corner into the lane, steered outside past the furlong marker then went flat to the wire. EXECUTIVE in the second flight while racing three wide and outside the winner, remained within striking distance through the final turn then gave way in the drive. PARK THE DOUBT (IRE) off a step slow, void of speed, four to five wide turning for home, bumped with the winner, failed to muster a rally.
