Chart notes
RIDING BY was close-up racing along the inside, came two-wide into the stretch, took the lead from MISTER O inside the eighth pole and quickly drew clear. MISTER O saved ground setting the pace but was unable to resist RIDING BY but held on well for the place. GOLDEN REGAL was forwardly placed early racing two-wide, dropped back slightly leaving the half mile pole then angled out to come four-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. REGARDING HARRY saved ground racing in the back of the field, came three-wide into the stretch, angled further out nearing the eighth pole and rallied late/. SWIFT STEPHAN prompted the early pace racing three-wide and weakened. CROWN COUNCIL was allowed to settle, rallied five-wide into the stretch and was not a factor.
