Chart notes

DEUXIEME CHANCE took control steps away from the gate, set the pace on a clear, well measured lead down the backside, widened on the turn, kicked further clear in mid-stretch and held late. BRAVENESS stalked the pace through the turn, could not match the winner in upper stretch, continued to grind through the lane, split rivals late and was narrowing the gap at the wire. WHEELHOUSE was a bit slow early, taken to the outside in the clear, rallied circling on the turn to be prominent in upper stretch and failed to sustain the bid finishing evenly late. IRON (FR) tracked the pace from mid-field through the turn to be in striking distance turning for home and finished evenly lacking a closing kick. EMINENT POWER was well placed along the rail down the backside, was taken up leaving the three-eighths when the hole along the rail was narrowed, lost position and momentum and was unable to re-mount a bid. JALMOD trailed most of the way never proving to be a factor. FLYING ASH prompted the early pace and weakened midway on the turn fading from contention.
