Chart notes
SOFOCLES stalked the pace from three wide through the turn, rallied in upper stretch to engage the leader at the eighth pole and went right by, pulling clear late. LEO'S ROCKET set the pace on a well measured lead going clear turning for home, dug-in through the lane when challenged, could not match strides with the winner in the final furlong and battled determinedly to hold the place. FREEDOM STREET prompted the early pace from two wide, angled inside the drifting pacesetter in upper stretch and rallied well up the fence to just miss the place. LODATO reserved off the pace to midway on the turn, rallied with a steady grinding bid to hit the board while closing the gap late. MAJESTIC NOIR tracked the leaders to the quarter pole and failed to respond lacking a rally for the drive. RASKOLNIKOV broke a bit awkwardly with a stutter step to be away at the back and never could do better.
