Chart notes
TO THE EASTSIDE set the pace under constant pressure through quick fractions, shook free at the top of the lane to open a clear lead and held the closer safe in a game effort. CLASSIC OF COURSE bumped in the early going by rival to his inside, settled in just behind the pacesetters, angled out to rally five wide turning for home and mounted a steady bid to be up for the place with a late gain. PURE CLASS stalked the pace from four wide through the turn to be prominent turning for home and was outkicked through the lane while keeping-on willingly. LATCH THE HATCH pressed the pace from between rivals to the quarter pole, failed to pass the pacesetter and weakened in the drive. ICELANDER bumped the rival to his outside in the early going, tracked the leaders from the fence to be well placed and lacked a closing bid going evenly. BACK EM UP unhurried away from the gate to race near the rear of the field, closed the gap into the far turn under early urging, failed to respond when put to a drive on the turn and came home failing to have ever threatened. MOONSTROCITY trailed throughout as a non-factor.
