Chart notes
WAYS AND MEANS was allowed to settle into stride, advanced in the three then four path on the turn, rallied to make a bid outside the quarter-pole, took the lead at the top of the stretch then kicked clear in the three path while straightened away, drew away under a strong hand-ride into the final sixteenth, was given one pop of a right-handed crop shortly thereafter and proved much the best while kept to the task to the finish. KILWIN dropped back in crowded quarters between foes just after the start, settled at the rear, was roused in the two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the three path, moved in while gaining outside the eighth-pole, dropped to the rail into the final furlong and improved to get the place. BEAUTY REIGNS brushed the inside of the gate and was last away, raced towards the rear under urging, went around the turn in the two path, swung out to the six path into the stretch, passed foes on the outside while remaining on her inside lead into the final furlong, swapped to the proper lead outside the sixteenth-pole and just got up for the show. ECHO SOUND showed speed then pressed the pace on the inside of the leader, dropped back nearing the nine-sixteenths pole, chased inside to the two path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the four path and tired. PARADISE CITY broke out and brushed with R DISTASTER, was urged off the pace, brushed with GRAMMY GIRL in the vicinity of the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the two then three path, was driven into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response. R DISASTER was brushed at the start, tracked the pace on the outside, made a bid late on the backstretch, vied in the four then three path on the turn, took a short lead late on that bend, was asked coming to the quarter-pole then lost the advantage to the winner at the top of the stretch and tired. ECLATANT settled on the far outside, was roused in the four path on the turn, dropped back in the six path into the stretch and faltered. MAIDA was hustled to the front then showed the way, dropped from the two path to the inside early on the turn, lost the advantage under urging late on that bend and faded. GRAMMY GIRL bobbled at the start, settled off the pace, brushed with a rival near the five-eighths pole, dropped back while inside on the turn, turned into the stretch in the two path and retreated.
