Chart notes

LOMAX angled out entering the stretch the first time then edged up three wide, stalked the dueling leaders while outside a rival past the three eighths, shifted out four wide in upper stretch, closed steadily under right handed asking, took command with about seventy yards remaining and drew clear. CHAPERONE took over early and dropped towards the inside, was hounded from the five eighths, came under a serious ride heading towards the quarter pole, clung to the advantage into the stretch, briefly cleared, kept on gamely but was unable to contain the winner. UNCLE GREY was used four wide to reach contention after a quarter mile, tapered in a couple paths and joined CHAPERONE, sparred with that one to upper stretch and gave way grudgingly. SOO HANDSOME edged up inside nearing the three quarter pole, steadied out of a tight spot soon after, regrouped to chase while saving ground, remained in touch to upper stretch then came up empty. VEKOMA VELOCITY moved up soon after the break to entertain the pace, drafted back near the five eighths, shifted out and offered some belated action.
