Chart notes
AIRBRUSH void of early foot despite some encouragement along the inside, continued behind horses through the turn, steered out five wide entering the stretch brushing CITY OF BLING, set down, finished good energy to be in time. FORTUNE HILL in the second flight early while between horses, angled out and ranged up boldly four wide late in the turn, put a head in front entering the straight, lugged in upper stretch putting a couple of rivals in tight, was straightened and edged clear past the furlong marker, could not contain the winner late, well clear of the others. WHALEAXE broke well, raced with the early pace, shuffled back early in the turn, continued within striking distance while angling out three wide midway on the turn, put in tight by a lugging FORTUNE HILL nearing the furlong grounds, recovered but was left with too much to do to threaten the top pair at the end. LITTLE BOSS MAN in the second flight along the inside for three furlongs, behind horses into the lane, waited briefly in continued traffic approaching the furlong grounds, displayed some mild interest when clear. BROADSIDE SALVO vied early while between horses, dueled into and through the turn closest to the inside, continued to battle through upper straight then faltered in the final furlong while racing toward the inside. CITY OF BLING back off the pace, floated out and brushed out to the five path by the runner up into the lane, finished up evenly. ANDIES PISTOLERO back off the early pace outside, never a threat while remaining off the inside. IRISH DIVO hesitated at the break, continued to lag well back in trailing up the backstretch, failed to threaten. CHUCKY OUR LAW prompted the issue early, dueled through the turn off the inside, appeared to be weakening when put in tight by the runner up in upper stretch, continued to falter in the run to the wire.
