Chart notes
BEAUTIFUL DAWN bobbled a bit leaving the gate, raced up close and moved to the inside, put in a rail bid at the five-sixteenths pole, cleared outer pair into the stretch and held safely under right handed urging and steady handling. NOT SO MERRY MARY stalked from inside, came under a ride on the turn, tipped out and moved into second in upper stretch, chased determinedly into deep stretch and had to settle for second best. SAUCED UP chased from off the pace up the backstretch, traveled along the rail then in the two path on the turn, swung out into the stretch and ran on to earn the show honors. PAVULAR settled at the back well off the rail, angled in some near the half-mile pole, steadied behind a rival leaving the backstretch, angled to the inside, angled out to the three path, cut to the two path turning for home and kept on to round out the superfecta. RUNAROUND SUE broke a step slow, trailed on the inside, passed a tired rival on the turn, hugged the rail to the stretch and offered a mild response. I'M SMOKEN HOT coaxed along from off the pace, went three wide into the turn, angled to the two path then steered back out wide, raced in the five path turning coming into the stretch and lacked a rally. HER STRUT sprinted to the front and set the tone early, angled over to the inside, came off the rail a bit and was challenged from rivals on both sides on the turn, lost the lead at the quarter pole and folded in the stretch. TAKE REVENGE followed in range outside rivals, traveled three wide into turn, angled to the two path then came out to the four path around the bend and tired. SONO VELOCE broke well then took a stalking position outside a rival, challenged outside the leader past the three-eighths pole, fought three deep at the quarter pole, failed to keep up with the winner leaving the bend and retreated. THIRSTY ELUSIVE broke well, got floated in by HER STRUT coming over early, dropped back gradually to the turn, fell back to last while drifting to the four path on the turn, tired and eased in the final furlong and walked off.
