Chart notes
COSSATOT rated in the second flight early and angled off the rail to race to the outside of horses, made a steady advance through the turn while three wide and was roused at the top of the lane, holding sway on the wire. AMERICAN DIRECTION raced close up with a rail trip and waited behind horses along the inside through the turn before angling out to split horses into the stretch and made a rally late. COMMENDATORE was reluctant to load into the gate then was hustled away at the start and set the pace, showed speed for a half before fading a bit in the stretch. STEP SLOW got off a step slowly from the gate before racing four wide early, made a bid on the turn but flattened out in the stretch. CANDY ROAD settled between horses early with a rail trip before angling six wide at the 1/4 pole and made a mild rally late. BEST MINET YET broke sharply and pressed the pace, grabbed a brief lead between horses on the turn but tired in the stretch. NADIR HAN was void of early speed before angling six wide on the turn while asked but was carried eight wide at the 1/4 by CANDY ROAD before fading in the stretch.
