Chart notes

JUST BUY IT sent for the early lead, showed the way from the inside into the turn, met the bid of HE'S MY KIND into upper stretch, dug in while holding that rival at bay into the drive, was unyielding to the final sixteenth, denied the runner-up in deep stretch and held for a game win. BAYFRONT rated nicely off of the early pace, gained ground two then three wide nearing the half-mile, bid three wide to upper stretch, gamely battled into the final furlong, was denied for the win in deep stretch and held for the place honors at the wire. HE'S MY KIND prominent early, stalked the pace two wide to the half-mile marker, dueled on even terms with JUST BUY IT into upper stretch, vied between foes into the final furlong, couldn't find more to the final sixteenth and was outfinished for the win and place, while well clear for the show. CASH ALLEY pinched at the start and last away from the gate, advanced outside of runners heading to the turn, asked four wide to upper stretch, couldn't keep pace with the leading trio into the drive and was outkicked to the final sixteenth. MONSTER COOKIE forwardly placed early, tucked in and saved ground to the turn, well placed nearing the half-mile marker, lacked the needed response when called upon into upper stretch and flattened out. MACHADO settled to the turn, coaxed between runners nearing the half-mile marker, raced in traffic to upper stretch then swung widest for the stretch drive, couldn't find the needed response in the lane but improved position in the final stages. CANTIS unhurried early, gained ground three wide along the turn, asked for run four wide to upper stretch, couldn't sustain a bid in the drive and weakened. KING OF HEAT broke out at the start, was void of early speed, dropped back approaching the turn then shuffled a bit into the bend, trailed to the half-mile, passed tiring rivals into the stretch but couldn't make headway on the leaders late. ASTAR crowded at the start and off a step slowly, settled between runners and two wide, angled out at the half-mile marker then could not make a late impact in the stretch. LIFE BOAT crowded at the start and away a bit slowly, settled while saving ground to the turn, caught in tight and steadied nearing the half-mile pole, saved ground to the stretch but could not rally late. TORCHED close up to the early pace, rated and saved ground into the turn, asked from the two path to upper stretch, couldn't muster a response in the lane and tired. HE HAS GAME forwardly placed to the turn, tracked the leaders two to three wide nearing the half-mile, couldn't keep pace to upper stretch and stopped in the drive.
