SWEET BORDEAUX caught a flyer on the outside quickly crossing over clearing to the rail with ease from the outer post heading into the backstretch, rolled along unopposed down the back straight, comfortably dictated the pace on the front end having the fence around the bend, spurted away when asked for more two wide at the head of the lane and drew off with authority in the final eighth of a mile having plenty left late with an impressive 'catch me if you can' showing. ZAHARI broke in at the start, sat forwardly placed three deep keeping aim on the lone speed leader down the backstretch, was shuffled back slightly outside foes at the half, offered a good turn of foot circling four wide midway around the turn, had a sharp burst coming on at the quarter pole to threaten the winner outside two to three wide taking the corner, was no match though by the furlong pole but still finished up solidly to be a clear second best at the wire. MARCH settled with runners on either side having the two path keeping tabs on the front foursome, was scrubbed along keeping pace basically throughout the turn, shifted to the four path with a chance for a piece of the prize straightening out for home and finished up willingly outside another in the last furlong getting up for the show money late. MARIA SOFIA chased the frontrunner outside down the backstretch, was roused two wide on the turn not letting the leader get away, had to be checked while two wide in tight losing its path from the outside runner turning for home, shifted out three wide for clear run at the furlong pole, dug in late inside battling for third but was just outkicked in deep stretch taking a minor share instead. REDEMPTON SONG was forced in by the outside rival on the break, stumbled badly possibly clipping heels at the five eighths pole, trailed at the half trying to find her footing again, picked up outside runners coming on two wide at the five sixteenths pole, shifted out looking for a seam in upper stretch, had clear run finally in the seven path by mid-stretch and finished up with good intent in the final furlong. WILLING GUEST broke out on the start, had only a few foes beaten just off the rail in the backstretch running, made little impact going two wide around the bend, angled out sharply making a brief run seven wide narrowing the margin at the top of the stretch but could not rally in the final furlong finishing up one paced in the late going. CHAMPAGNE SUNDAY was bumped by the inside runner at the start, had the three path near the tail end between horses down the backstretch, travelled four wide making a gradual move outside foes in midturn closing the gap slightly by the quarter pole, was pushed out to the eight-path turning for home and could only pass tired runners down the lane. AWESOME GRACE was eager at the five eighths pole pulling the rider closer to sit just back off the lead trio at the half, had the fence being nudged on for more travelling just behind the pacesetter on the turn, scraped paint in the mix at the top of the stretch, dueled inside others for third place share at the furlong pole but yielded to runners in the last sixteenth of a mile. TUSCANY ROSE veered in soon after the leaving the gate having to be taken hold of briefly trailing in the beginning, improved on the rail to mid-pack by the half, saved ground through the turn hard ridden just to hold position, moved back to the rail in mid-stretch but wilted inside rivals in the last furlong. BANDOLIER stayed in touch with the front pair while three deep down the backstretch, was spurred on three wide around the bend at the five sixteenths pole being forced to move holding forward position from the outside runner who was making a rally, had to be checked briefly in tight from the pressure of the outer rival at the quarter pole and could not recover to be a factor afterwards. HONOR MY LEGACY had one runner beaten while four deep outside midway down the backstretch, made no impact three wide around the oval relegated to last by the quarter pole, swung out widest in the nine path for the drive to the finish line but had little to offer only passing a weary straggler in the stretch run. WHITEMUDWEST settled between rivals in midfield by the half, came under a drive three wide on the turn being passed on both sides by runners at the quarter pole, shifted to the seven path in upper stretch and emptied out at the furlong pole.
