Chart notes

SIR TRISTAN away well from along the inside, showed the way up the backstretch closest to but not on the inside, continued to set the pace into the far turn, shook clear before a half and steadily increased that advantage through the lane while being kept to task. OBVIOUS CONCLUSION with the early pace while racing three wide and between horses, fell back late backstretch, continued well out in the strip through the bend, displayed some mild interest through the lane to prove clearly second best, no threat to the winner. HEROIC ACT with the first flight while widest up the backstretch, continued within striking distance in the four path through the lane, went evenly through the lane to report home best of the rest. NEW YORK NEW YORK off a step slow, raced back two path early, dropped inside in the run through the turn, lacked a serious response stretch. GONE ELVIS with the pace while three wide and between horses up the backstretch, remained closest to the winner through the bend, gave way in the drive. CHIEF NOW NOW off a step slow, raced back up the backstretch along the inside, moved out to be three wide into the lane, lacked a response.
