Chart notes
HALF BIRTHDAY was well placed tracking the leaders from the fence, saved ground through the turn cutting the corner at the head of the lane, opted to go four wide to the outside of the pacesetter and surged in deep stretch to be up in time. IRISH VICTORY broke alertly to set the pace on a clear early lead, repelled rivals bid at the quarter pole to shake free in upper stretch and was nailed in the final strides in a good effort. LITTLE LAMB CHOP reserved off the pace down the backstretch, rallied under a long drive midway on the turn and was gaining through the stretch six wide to be along for the show. SHORTY MAC pressed the pace into the turn, edged closer to threaten at the quarter pole and could not match the pacesetter in the lane flattening out late. KRISPY RICE went evenly failing to menace. MISS M M was not a factor trailing throughout.
