Chart notes
SARGEANT BARGER sprinted to the early lead, remained along the rail, was engaged by FLYIN RYAN mid way down the backstretch, dueled with that one to upper stretch then asserted himself and drew away under steady handling. FLYIN RYAN disputed the pace outside the winner, weakened the final furlong and held the place. JET FLIGHT stalked the duel down the backstretch, eased out three deep leaving the far turn and failed to rally.
