Chart notes

PHIL'S PRINCE lacked speed for five furlongs, began to advance inside, reached contention along the rail by midstretch, switched out late and finished up well to run down the leader. KUHNER broke well, showed the way into and through the first turn, rated kindly in the run up the backstretch, extended that advantage into the lane, continued to lead late, nailed in the waning strides. GOLF CART RYDER off the early pace while inside, continued to save ground up the backstretch, began to creep closer with four furlong remaining, lacked room into the far turn, moved out, second flight stretch, went flat in the late going. JOY DIVISION void of any early foot, three wide second turn, moved out widest for the drive, improved with some late interest. IF EVER back off the leaders and the inside, lacked a closing punch through the stretch. PNUTBUTTER WHISKEY bobbled at the start, quickly recovered to prompt the leader into the first turn, continued to pursue that one the middle half, had little left for the stretch run. RED LAD forwardly placed while racing along the inside, gave way late in the final turn.
