Chart notes

COACH KRIV tracked three wide, was put to pressure leaving the far turn, ranged up and bid three deep entering the stretch, battled in close proximity with an inner MAUPASANT past the furlong grounds, sustained a solid bump near the sixteenth pole, gained a slim lead in deep stretch and proved best under a strong hand ride. MAUPANSANT , a bit fractious when being tacked up in the paddock, bobbled slightly, quickly recovered and prompted from the inside, was put to the crop leaving the far turn, slipped through to the inside of a pair of rivals to poke a head in front soon into the stretch, drifted out slightly and exchanged contact while sparring with COACH KRIV, exchanged a bump near the sixteenth marker then gave way stubbornly while under some hand coaxing through the final yards. COVE BAY BOY , sent to the front, set the pace in about the two path, was joined from both sides near the quarter pole, ceded to rivals in upper stretch and weakened late. ATOMICO , off the pace while two to three wide, was under asking around the final turn, shifted out in upper stretch and came up empty. LUCKY DOUBLE ZERO broke outward and was away last, corrected and edged up four wide into the first turn, remained well wide, failed to kick on under a ride past the five sixteenths and weakened.
