BOGUS OPERANDI was given a very strong warm-up, came away in good order then angled in while going to the front, showed the way down the backstretch, controlled the action while dropping from the two path to the four path on the turn, responded well when asked into upper stretch, came under a right-handed crop at the furlong marker and held under steady urging. ORIGINALITY was urged along off the pace, chased while moving from the two path to the four path on the turn, pursued the winner under a drive in the stretch and just earned the place. DREAM MACHINE was hustled from the gate, established a good position down the backstretch, was asked while inside on the turn, chased along the rail in the stretch and just missed the place while able to get the show. ZATOPEK was hustled from the gate, moved up under urging then chased the pace, went around the turn in the two to three path, pursued the winner in the drive and lacked the needed kick while able to get the last spot in the superfecta. SUMMER OF GEORGE was urged along near the back, moved in around the nine-sixteenths pole, rounded the turn in the two path and failed to threaten. COMPLEX CHARLIE broke in at the start then moved out early, was urged along off the pace, traveled around the turn in the four path and lacked the needed response. SPHERICAL showed speed then chased the pace, went around the turn in the four path, was driven into the stretch in the five path and weakened. ACE IN HAND broke out at the start, chased the pace on the outside, dropped back in the five path on the turn, moved to the three path late on that bend and had nothing left. ENTICED MASTER stood in the gate and dwelt badly at the start, spotted the field around twenty lengths, saved ground at the rear and trailed.
