NEED TO KNOW BASIS vied for the lead four then three wide, made the lead entering the stretch, battled to the wire under right handed urging and proved best by a narrow margin. CHECK THE FACTS set a pressured pace along the inside past the quarter pole, matched strides along the rail the length of the stretch and just failed. MISTER MOBIL trailed early and found his best stride late outside rivals. SAMMY'S SMILE pressed the pace three then two wide into the stretch and was outfinished in the late stages. DRILL CITY well placed, had no rally. GOLDSTRIKER pressed the early pace two wide and was through after a half.
