Chart notes
MUNNY TOWN took a slight hop at the start, advanced four wide through the first turn to press the pace up the backstretch, claimed a narrow lead at the head of the lane and maintained under a driving effort. PAIRED EXCHANGE settled off the pace, was cued in the far turn to weave around traffic before swinging four wide at the top of the stretch, rallied well but just missed. MALEVAJE pressed the early pace setter before taking charge at the five eighths marker, continued under pressure from MUNNY TOWN, battled that foe down the lane but was out-finished in the final strides. UNUSUAL ACTIVITY broke a step slow, trailed for most, made minor improvements in the late stages. S J B EXPRESS settled into a tracking position, was roused about the far turn but lacked the necessary response. HEY BATTER BATTER led under pressure through the first turn before giving way to MALEVAJE at the five eighths marker, slowly retreated to trail by the five sixteenths.
