Chart notes
BLEU MARTINI forwardly placed early on, got caught in tight behind the drifting CADENCED in the opening quarter mile, angled to the rail then vied for the lead at the quarter pole, took command to upper stretch, kept to task in the late stages and held safely at the wire for the jockey's first career win. E Z SHOPPING broke in and green leaving the start, trailed to the turn, rallied into the stretch, couldn't reel in the winner in the final sixteenth but got up in time for second in a good effort. CADENCED took early command, drifted out along the backstretch and crowded outer rivals in the opening quarter mile, showed the way into the turn from the two path, overtaken by BLEU MARTINI into upper stretch, couldn't keep pace with the winner into the drive but kept on, was outfinished late for second and was a well clear third. TURN AND RUN raced close up to the early pace while between rivals, chased three wide into the turn, swung to the four path into upper stretch, lacked the needed response in the drive and weakened. SMELL OF MONEY tracked the early pace from the outside, coaxed four wide to the quarter pole, swung to the six path into upper stretch, came up empty in the drive. DON'T GO ASTRAY caught a bit in tight between rivals early on then settled along the backstretch, lost ground nearing the top of the lane, trailed to upper stretch and was outrun in the drive.
