Chart notes

GIZMO'S B F F had a slim lead inside from a pesky speed foe in the early going, continued narrowly up front going two wide while hounded still on the fence by a rival, edged away briefly outside at the furlong pole but had to be ridden out until the very end with rivals bearing down on either side and just lasted between horses at the wire for the hard fought win. FAIRHOPECURLY pressed on the fence down the backstretch, continued to be a thorn in the pacesetters left side arguing for the lead around the oval, started to drop back slightly losing ground to the winner by the furlong marker but showed grit coming back on in the final seventy yards to make it close at the finish for the top spot but was denied at the finish. STERLING HEIGHTS was roused for more trying to get interested while seeing the field in the beginning, started to lengthen stride picking up a runner at the half, took the short way around the turn making little headway on the leaders but passing an outside rival at the quarter pole, angled out to the four path for the stretch run, was gradually gaining outside the embattled duo in the final furlong but could not get to them in time while securing the show award at the wire. MIGHT BEE TROUBLE was on the inside in the second flight watching the engaged duo down the backstretch, sat isolated in the third spot taking closer order on the lead twosome through the bend, shifted to the three path taking the corner but could only finish up mildly narrowing the margin on the winner down the lane but being no threat at the wire taking only a minor placing in the end. APRIL DE VELP dropped back on the fence to be at the tail end with a half mile remaining, lagged behind the group while two wide off the rail in the turn running, shifted to the three path for the stretch drive but could only manage to pass an outside weary rival at the furlong marker. WORLD SHOWCASE sat on the outside of another tracking the contesting front pair along the backside, was hard ridden around the oval but was going in the wrong direction being passed inside at the quarter pole, swung out widest in the five path at the top of the lane but came up empty outside by the furlong marker.
