Chart notes
MAGNIFICAT stumbled badly leaving the gate, trailed the field into the first turn, advanced along the rail up the backstretch, drew closer around the far turn, took aim at the leader in the two path coming into the stretch, drew alongside that rival with a furlong remaining, put SO THERE SHE WAS away quickly midstretch and stayed clear to the line. OUR MOONLIGHT stalked in the three path around the clubhouse turn, raced five deep at the halfway point, asked four wide around the far turn, tipped out into the stretch, finished well to gain second but could not reach the winner. ROSIE JEEKS dropped off the pace in the four path early, trailed up the backstretch, advanced two to three wide on the far turn, steered out in the lane and ran on to gain third. AMORITA vied three deep into the first turn then dueled outside SO THERE SHE WAS, lost touch with that rival with three furlongs remaining but remained close in the two path, got moved to the three path by MAGNIFICAT approaching the stretch and weakened through the drive. HOWIN settled in the two path, coaxed along three deep between rivals at the half-mile pole, ridden along while angling down to the rail on the far turn and lacked the needed response. SO THERE SHE WAS fought a pair of outer rivals for command into the first turn then dueled with AMORITA, carried a short lead over that rival up the backstretch, edged clear at the three-eighths pole, confronted by MAGNIFICANT entering the final furlong, yielded to that rival midstretch and weakened in the last sixteenth. SURF SONG tracked along the rail around the first turn, pursued two wide between runners at the half-mile pole, dropped back around the far turn and found the rail, then came up empty in the stretch run. MI CONFESION (ARG) hustled from the gate, vied between runners into the first turn then chased in the two path around the bend, raced four deep at the halfway point, tired four then three wide on the far turn, was not persevered with into the stretch, eased to the wire and walked off.
