Chart notes
IDRATHERBEBLESSED stalked the pace from the break two wide then shifted up a bit heading up the hill and dueled GILDED CRAKEN remaining two wide before pulling ahead in the upper then lugged out entering the stretch and held off two other rivals in the deep stretch. ESMARK bumped with ANDTHEWINNERIS at the start and raced towards the back coming four wide around the first turn then settled into the third flight three wide off the rail and swung to the outside in the upper and was bumped by ANDTHEWINNERIS again nearing the furlong marker but kept on and held out for the place award. ANDTHEWINNERIS was bumped at the break and settled back early then advanced along the backstretch and chased the pace from the top of the hill in the two path, kept on in the upper and swung out bumping with ESMARK nearing the furlong marker then had trouble finding enough room in the deep stretch. WAR OFFICER settled towards the back along the inside through the early stages then came out a bit while heading up the hill and being positioned in the third flight, was between rivals heading down the hill then tipped out in the upper and improved in the stretch while being no match for the top finishers. RISK MANAGER chased the pace early from the three path on the outside of SUGOI then settled back a bit heading up the hill and came to the inside but lacked a rally in the stretch. SUGOI was up early along the inside and chased the pace through the early stages making a little gain on the backstretch then weakened heading down the hill and tired out in the stretch. LINCOLN HIGHWAY raced off the pace from the two path and shifted to the inside at the crest of the hill and got distanced from the pack then made up ground in the upper but was still no factor. GILDED CRAKEN sent for the pace early while coming three wide around the first turn and inched ahead of it's contenders coming down the backstretch before being closely pursued again up the hill, then shifted to the inside and dueled with IDRATHERBEBLESSED coming down the hill and faded into the upper. GERALDRAYDAPLEGRAY dropped back quickly after the break and steered to the inside then raced off the pace at the back of the pack and gained a marginal distance between the last in the pack heading towards the quarter pole and was never a factor.
