Chart notes
LIAM'S LAW went to the front, was well rated while setting the pace on the inside, came under encouragement under threat on the far turn, disposed of PERFECT DREAM and moved clear in the three path into upper stretch, drifted in inside the three-sixteenths pole, came under a left-handed crop outside the furlong marker, braced for the challenge of the runner-up into the final sixteenth and just held under strong urging. BOLD LEADERSHIP was recalcitrant behind the gate and a bit reluctant to load, broke in the air after being unsettled in the gate and was off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, raced inside to the two path on the first turn, was reserved at the back, moved closer outside the half-mile pole, shifted from the inside to the three path while roused on the far turn, came into the stretch in the five path, chased outside while swapping leads back and forth under a right-handed crop, drifted in some around the furlong marker, came in closer to the winner while making a bid at the sixteenth-pole, drew alongside that foe in the final sixteenth and just missed while clear for second purse money. PERFECT DREAM hit the outside of the gate soundly at the start, prompted the early pace on the outside then backed off the lead in the two path on the first turn, tracked the pace on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, made a bid in the two path on the far turn, dropped back in the four path into upper stretch and weakened.
