Chart notes
PASS ON BY went to the front, showed the way on the inside, was asked near the quarter-pole, dueled inside of RELATED PARTY under mostly a strong hand-ride in the stretch, jostled with that foe late and gamely prevailed. RELATED PARTY established a forward position early, prompted the pace on the outside in the two to three path, was given his cue at the quarter-pole, dueled outside of the winner under the crop in the stretch, jostled with that foe late and was denied while clear for the place. STOCK RISING went around the first turn in the three path, settled off the pace, was asked while going from the three path to the five path on the far turn, drifted inward in upper stretch, kept on in pursuit of the top two in the final furlong and willingly earned the show. KATZ IN THE CRADLE tossed his head while rank into the first turn, dropped from the two path to the inside early on that bend, was rated just off the pace, saved ground on the far turn, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole, came into the stretch in the three path, chased into the final furlong and weakened. ARTEMIS TWO was off a step slow then dropped back early, saved ground on the first turn, came out near the five-eighths pole, was roused in the two to three path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the four path, drifted in around the furlong marker then was straightened by the rider, drifted back out outside the sixteenth-pole and improved position. LITHOS angled in at the rear, saved ground on the first turn, was unhurried at the back, moved from the three path to the six path while roused on the far turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response. RENEGADE SPIRIT moved in early, saved ground on the first turn, moved out near the eleven-sixteenths pole, advanced closer with five furlong to run, went around the far turn in the two path and also lacked the needed response. RAPIDLY ROYAL settled on the inside, was roused on the far turn and failed to rally. VINTAGE VELOCITY dropped back early, went around most of the first turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, settled outside at the back without cover, was carried out some near the five-eighths pole, angled in with about a half-mile to run, saved ground on the far turn and was no factor. CHRISTOPHER WOOL established a forward position early, traveled around the opening bend in the three path, stalked the pace on the outside without cover, was asked in the three then four path on the far turn, chased into upper stretch and came up empty.
