Chart notes
FUNNY MUSIC showed good speed between rivals early, cleared off to set the pace, responded when roused entering the stretch, pulled away and was kept to the task in the final furlong. FUN TOPH FUN bobbled at the break, stalked outside, chased three wide on the turn, made a bid at the quarter pole, dug in gamely in the stretch but second best. LAST HOT LOVER stalked between rivals, chased on the turn, drifted out at the furlong marker, dug in and held well for third. OUR ALCHEMIST tracked close up on the inside, chased on the turn, steadied at the five sixteenths marker, came four wide into the lane, angled in behind LAST HOT LOVER past the furlong marker, then finished evenly. VICTORIA'S SONG raced off the pace inside and gained belatedly on the rail. BUSTIN BORDER was off slowly and outrun.
