BLACKFIN (IRE) raced three wide early, stalked outside, bid three wide on the far turn, dueled, led into the stretch, responded when roused, drifted out slightly in front of the runner up and drew clear under urging. HONOR THE NUMBERS pulled in the early stages while two wide and on the rail, then tracked inside, advanced inside on the far turn, angled out, rallied outside in the stretch run and came up second best. ROMELIA raced four wide early, cleared off to set the pace, then vied inside, dueled on the far turn and weakened inside in the stretch. TIMELESS MELODY raced off the pace between rivals, then tracked two wide, chased three wide on the far turn and tired. MISS SNAFFLES was outrun early, moved up at the quarter pole, then failed to threaten. FOR SURE THIS TIME vied inside for the early lead, took back off the pace, tracked inside and faded.
