Chart notes
CLIVE CROSS was urged from the start gaining forward position outside the leader, pressed that one through the first turn and up the backstretch, was encouraged along three furlongs out losing a little ground, advanced to take a narrow lead at the quarter pole now under stronger urging, drew clear inside the furlong grounds under steady handling. RELOAD EH went quickly to the fore to set the pace inside, faced pressure from the eventual winner, began edging away slightly past the seven-sixteenths but was soon after challenged again by that rival, was no match but kept on to be second best. BALBONI'S CREW was coaxed forward from the start, settled inside a rival in the second flight tracking the leading pair, was asked near the quarter pole, came out a bit in the stretch exchanging incidental brushing with an outside foe, made no serious headway on the top pair but got the nod for show honors. MONDAY MORNING was bumped lightly just after the start, stalked from outside a foe in the second flight in behind the leaders, had minor brushing in the stretch, was outfinished for third. ALLBETSAREOFF bumped a rival soon after the start, was caught four then three wide into the first turn, settled outside a rival at the rear, was encouraged along nearing the three-eighths, failed to rally. COOLCOLLECTED settled inside at the rear, shifted out past the five-sixteenths under urging coming to the quarter pole four wide in range but flattened out in the sretch.
