Chart notes
PURR FACTOR cleared and crossed over from the outer post to be loose up top around the first of two turns, rolled along picking up the pace increasing the advantage considerably down the backside, continued to throw it down bottoming out the field far ahead through the second bend and was kept interested in the stretch running overpowering rivals with a strong front end display. STAR ATTRACTION was content to let the pacesetter go on with it with sitting solely in the second spot early on, tracked the leader but was well behind down the backside, chased in vain throughout the far turn making no headway at all and finished up besting the rest for the runners up share but never threatening the winner at any point in the race. LADY ON THE NILE relaxed in the middle of the pack with an outside rival in the early stages, had runners on each side part of the last three going around the final bend, battled between foes in the last furlong and ran on willingly late splitting horses nearing the wire to capture the show money. Z TRAIN (IRE) had the rear while allowed to go three wide on the initial bend, continued trailing the group outside down the backstretch, travelled three wide outside two runners sharing the tail end through the far turn, shifted out widest in the four path for the stretch drive but was just outnodded at the wire for third. GO GIFFEN had the inside position in tandem with another sitting in midfield early on, settled on the fence near the rear having only one runner beaten along the backside, continued the ground saving trip part of the back threesome around the far turn staring to make a run at the quarter pole, shaved the corner battling inside for second money with the winner long gone by mid-stretch but ran out of steam in deep stretch faded inside of rivals losing a couple of placings late.
