Chart notes

MAKI MONARCHY forward from the start while three wide into the first turn, continued to prompt the leader from the outside in the run up the backstretch, challenged that one in the second turn, dueled through upper stretch and past the furlong marker, gained a larger advantage before engaging in a second duel in the late going while drifting out a bit, dug in during the final strides to finish in a dead heat for the win. GREAT BARRIER moved inside first turn, tracked in the run up the backstretch while continuing to save ground, cut the corner into the straight to gain some ground on the dueling leaders, challenged along the rail with a sixteenth to run, dueled to the wire, also proved determined in the late going to earn part of the win. REBEL MOON broke out and bumped soundly with PINEHURST, was straightened and set behind the pace while toward the inside, continued to pursue the two frontrunners into and through the second turn while in the two path, came three wide for the drive, displayed a mild amount of late interest to be clear of the others. PINEHURST (IRE) broke in, bumped with REBEL MOON, quickly recovered to show the way into and through the first bend, continued to set the pace up the backstretch, quickened in the far turn as he was joined by the winner, dueled with that one closest to the inside through upper stretch then yielded with less than a furlong remaining. TANGO MIKE MIKE in mid pack early off the inside, three wide midway on the first turn, fell back late backstretch, three wide through the final turn, went evenly through the lane. PEYTON'S DAY off slowly, raced well back in trailing along the inside, continued back into the far turn while saving ground, picked off a couple of rivals in the run to the wire without posing a serious threat. PENEI lacked speed, four wide when still well off the pace second turn, failed to muster a rally when called on for the drive. CHENTI off the pace and the inside, floated out to be four wide midway through the first turn, three wide the middle half, tired in the drive.
