BOOTS MALONE sprinted to the lead soon after the start, set all the pace and maintained his advantage under right handed urging. VDAYTOTHETENACIOUS never far back, dug in three wide through deep stretch and got up for second. EMPIRE'S FIRE was bumped soon after the start, stalked the early pace, loomed boldly inside the winner in upper stretch then was outfinished. STAGE NAME allowed to settle, improved position late five wide. FORTISSIMO pressured the winner from the inside past the half mile marker, sharply shifted out two wide nearing the turn then lacked the needed response in the drive. SCRIMPER was bumped repeatedly soon after the start and had no impact. RIVER BOAT drifted in bumped repeatedly with SCRIMPER soon after the start and trailed throughout.
