Chart notes

TAWNY PORT well placed in the early stages, kept a ground saving path for the opening mile, shifted to the two path with a half-mile remaining, chased to upper stretch, angled back to the rail and offered a strong rally to the furlong grounds, took command to the final sixteenth then held safely in deep stretch to prevail. LAMBETH close up while widest in the early stages, settled in the second flight passing the wire for the first time, moved to the rail with one mile to go, tracked from the inside at the half-mile marker, tipped out and chased GOLDENEYE to mid-stretch, was outkicked by TAWNY PORT in the final sixteenth but was a game second best. GREYSTONE allowed to settle in the early running, coaxed outside of rivals nearing the half-mile pole, asked four wide to upper stretch, closed willingly to the final sixteenth and won the nod on the wire for third. GOLDENEYE took early command, set the pace in the early stages then opened up, made his own pace with one mile to run, came back to the field with a half mile to go, dug in and led to the quarter marker, was weary to the furlong grounds, overtaken to the final sixteenth, faded late and was nailed on the wire for third. NAVY SEAL (IRE) settled while saving ground in the early stages, was caught in tight passing the finish the first time by, kept an inside path while unhurried along the backstretch, lacked room with a half-mile to go, found room to upper stretch then failed to offer the needed late response. TRULY QUALITY unhurried and trailed early, was last at the half-mile marker, swung widest to upper stretch, needed more to the final sixteenth and failed to threaten late. LIMITED LIABILITY settled in the second flight, coaxed two to three wide nearing the half-mile marker, gave chase into upper stretch, needed more to the final sixteenth and flattened out. PASSING GAME vied for the early lead, ceded to GOLDENEYE then stalked the pace in the opening stages, raced closest to the loose leader with a mile remaining, chased two wide to the three-eighths, dropped back nearing the quarter pole, came up empty in the lane, was eased through the final furlong and walked off. FRACTIONAL TIMING SPLITS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS RACE, AND ONLY THE FINAL TIME WAS PROVIDED.
