Chart notes
BOB JOHN RAY settled off the pacesetter, bid to the front midway on the final turn, drew clear and was kept to a drive. JACKSON ROAD dropped back early, moved closer before the half, chased near the inside and was outfinished. ALWAYS GAMBLING chased wide, rallied into the stretch then flattened out. INMORTAL J trailed for five furlongs while very wide and faltered. EARL OF DASSEL saved ground, faded after half mile then lacked a rally. SMOOTH MOTION sprinted away to long lead to the three eighths pole and stopped abruptly.
